Linking PMOs to early bell crank and pull rod

Ive got a lot of slack at the pedal cluster and Ive already shortened the ball joins at each rod end through the tunnel.

After reading numerous threads, Im thinking my next step is to shorten the early pull rod that I've got installed.

I was thinking the early pull rod and early bell crank would be suitable for a great fit, but Im still getting quite a bit of play, not to mention a really "tough" pull.

Furthermore the ball end nut is getting caught on the clevis pin from the clutch cable in the pedal cluster as well. I need to get my hand in there and push the cable over in order for it to hit the pedal stop. I would think the SC's bell crank would have helped with this orientation better, since the accerlator ball end is more offset away form the gearbox.

Ive got a few fitment issues here, and would be grateful for some tips or guidance on some logical next steps.

Here are some shots of the parts Im using, or have tried to use.

You can see two bell cranks here: one if stock SC, and the other is an early style with a bit different geometry.

Throttle Linkage - Shortening

Same problem - my solution is part way down this thread:

Good luck,

Hi Gordo,

Yes, Ive ready your post! Thanks for all the intel.
Gordo's PMO Carb Tuning

Ive got a different pull rod than you, so I just need to cut and re-thread it, it seems.

The issue with the sticking is more troublesome. The pedal cluster appears to have already been rebuilt, so Im not sure if there needs to be another spaces, or perhaps I need to bend the metal linkage a bit as talked about here Gordo's PMO Carb Tuning

Throttle Linkage / Tunnel Rod Bushings

You may want to check the condition of the bushings that the throttle rod slides through in the tunnel. I think there are 3 of them and if they are worn out they can influence pedal travel / feel (sticking) and allow the rod to flex.

I recently rebuilt my pedal cluster and had plenty of space between the Clevis and the throttle rod - something may be whacky there. The throttle arms can begin to separate from the pedal shaft (welded together) allowing the arm to cant.
