reinstalling CIS system - torque for air tubes to heads
Hello,
This summer I've been upgrading a few of the systems on my car, including the engine. After doing a full tune up, I discovered this needed to include a new air box, and cleaning up the fuel injection system. I'm using this as an opportunity to do some clean up, as well. With the engine out, its a lot easier. Anyway, I am now reattaching the CIS I have had trouble finding the torque spec for the air intake runners to head nuts. I purchased new nuts (stripped an old one) and decided it would be nice to replace all 12 nuts. I purchased a copy of the Bentley 911 SC service manual but I have not been able to find that particular torque value. Got the chain cover torque as well as the valve cover value etc, but no info on reattaching the CIS. Tom 1983 911 SC 3.0 with 3.2 crank case (factory) |

Hi Tom - I'm attaching a link to an earlier thread where this is discussed; I hope you find it helpful.

Thanks a lot! I did a variety of searches and did not find that post. 18 ft/lbs it is.
