Assembling euro H4's
Just bought a set of euro H4's from local porsche guy.
![]() They came brand new in boxes but aren't assembled. I have sugar scoops on my 911sc so I can't really compare them to see how to assemble the euro H4's. Does anyone have a closeup pick of their H4? Where do the "7" clips go? Between the reflector and trim ring? What do these screws do? ![]() Thanks |

Is the screw hollow and threaded inside?
You may have a little better luck in the 911 technical forum rather than here the engine rebuilding forum. I have some in the garage but it would take me some time to get to them. Good luck!

That screw holds the assembly to the body. It is attached at the bottom of the housing.

Damn, I just redid mine and took pics, but I cant seem to locate them. Yes, if you assemble the housing, it should be apparent how the clips are used. They're actually used more like springs to hold the reflector housing and adjustment/trim ring (the ring with those long adjustable aiming screws) together. Insert them with the prongs up (facing you) and 'bend' (spring) them under the edges of the trim ring and reflector housing.

The reflector/lamp assembly must cradle inside the main housing and not touch the edges. You should have some rubber insulators on the long screws that fit inside the notches circled in red. I think there is 3 of them.
If the housing touches, it could short and pop a fuse. ![]()
