Rocker adjuster screws seized

Progressing slowly on the rebuild of my 1986 930 engine. The previous owner over-torqued most of the adjuster screws on the rocker arms. They will screw in and out a bit but the deformed section of thread stops me from removing them. I tried holding them in the bench vise and using a screw driver bit on a 1/4 drive ratchet. Even with some moly on the threads it gets stuck. Should I just cut them off and remove? Should I try a thread repair die?
I am removing the adjuster screws in prep to send the rockers off for rebuild.

I sent my rocker arms off to rebuild and i had to cut mine off with a dremel tool, will have to replace 5 of them.

Before I cut them, I would try using a die.

8mm x 1.0?

Sometimes the split portion of the threads where the screwdriver slot can deform from over-tightening. A die, or cut and re-slot with a Dremel.

Correct, but I found that my rocker threads were damaged as well. The die only helped me barely get the screw out, I had to use a tap to chase the threads before it would accept a new adjuster and turn smoothly.

Most of the time the threads are deformed from over tightening the jam nut, I secure the rocker and run the adjuster backward and pop the foot off, then chase the threads in the rocker replace the adjuster and good to go !

Does the foot just.pop back on?

I imagine it would, but if the threads are deformed enough where you do this to save the rocker it need a new adjuster
