			Pardon the trivia.....but in the last part of Waynes rebuild book, he mentions "a sulfur smell" that occurs as the motor begins it's break-in. The smell is apparently due to the piston rings facing the fire of combustion for the first time. I was skeptical about this. I didn't remember this smell coming from a new engine before. Sure enough though, the 'Bomber's new Mahle P & C's *did* emit a very strong odor of sulfur. And the garage still has the smell, almost a week later!

			Some machining oils/coolant fluids contain sulfur; machining oil impregnated into the surface of the P&C's and associated parts may be the source of the sulfur smell during engine break in.  Cheers, Jim

			monolithiumdiSULFIED. scrambled or over easy.  the battery gives the same long lasting stench. some materials in new cats. give an egg smell also.
