'74 CIS cam regrind

I'm putting together a 2.7L, carbureted, JE 9.5:1 pistons engine. Can the CIS cams be hard welded and reground to a profile that will work well for this combination? I'm not looking for all out performance just a good street engine that will be going in a 914. I've searched the forum and found many recommendations from a SOLEX grind to 964 grind. Too many to wrap my head around.

Thanks
Paul
