If it's losing 4+ seconds a day, it isn't a huge deal but it does indicate that the movement needs a little love fairly soon. It's better to service it now, as opposed to waiting until it starts loosing
minutes per day. It's probably bone dry, and full of "brake dust" by now. The gaskets are probably all shot, and I certainly wouldn't be swimming/diving with it at this point. YMMV...
