How lean? and how do you know it's lean?
Few thoughts:
- Bad O2 sensor? unplug the O2 does the issue go away? Sometimes the O2 sensors fail and put out 1vdc all the time, if this happens it sends a false rich condition to the DME and DME tries to fix the problem by leaning the mixture.
- Could be faulty injector(s)?
- Fuel pressure out of wack?
