Numbers...
Everyone seems so tied in knots over "matching" numbers, and sensitive about VIN switching, how could you ever justify the cost? Judging by the cost of new Mustang and Camaro body shells, then adding a Porsche-sized premium, I'd estimate at least at least $30k for a 911 shell. Why not just backdate an impact bumper car?
Nowhere in the US can you legally move a VIN tag to a repop body shell, but I'm sure it's been done.
