i can't attest to the 944 application, but on the 968, it isn't "fart can", but it is loud, droney, resonant, and loses low end torque (though it does gain 2-3hp way up top). i want to hear the exhaust when i stand on it, but i don't want it in my face all the time, and that's what you get. some guys like that though. i also did not like the loss of low end torque. i've known quite a few people that had to get them fixed due to cracked welds too. maybe they have gotten better at it since then?
