The tire straps should fit. I used a U-Haul to move my 914 with 7 & 8 inch Fuchs and they fit no problem. I would be more concerned with the width of the rear fenders than anything else. Also, be sure to fold down the driver's side fender on the U-Haul before opening the car door. It can leave a nasty ding on your door. (don't ask me how I found out...)
