Ok that's actually bad news, as that was something easy to check. Where is the bolted connection you refer to? Is it to the right on the picture as a previous poster said? Accessible under the car?
Quite worried now that I might be internal to the transmission. I had it professionally rebuilt 2 years ago with all steel synchros at significant expense. Would hate to have undone that.
