Not true. They were same as for the T/E/S. This looks to be a later one based on the strings. Those seemed to show up over the summer of 73 toward the very late serial numbers, of which 1492 is one. But there aren't any firm cut-offs, and 3 bags were used for that model year (clasps early, snaps mid, strings late).

This one is missing some stuff (spark plug tool and handle, 19/21 box end wrench), but it does appear to have the rare screwdriver with the reversible shaft. Never seen a black fan pulley wrench. Maybe somebody along the way painted it.

Also, the 2 photos at the linked site don't look like the same kit. Not sure if the trunk photo is supposed to be an example?
