Ok all you track junkies. I have stumbled onto a local business that specializes in optically clear (patented) tear-off's for windshields. NASCAR, Busch, ARCA, Winston West, Goodies series all use this. During pit stops, one of four plies (layers) is peeled off and the driver has a clear view of things.

I was thinking of this product more for chip protection at track events. I am working with these guys on a prototype, and developing a shape that will fit all 911 cars (shouldn't be hard, since I dont think they ever changed shape).

I am curious if anyone would be interested. I am still waiting for pricing etc.
