Haha... I've never really had a problem with that sort of thing, but i get your point.
Guisados looks good... that might be a good compromise for the girlfriend. I will probably skip the crazy hot stuff- I'm still rebuilding my tolerance for heat after losing my taste last year during chemo - but maybe next time.
