I do all the maintenance. Just hasn't been a real need to change plugs and wires.
As for fuel filter and pump, I changed out the fuel filter probably 5,000 miles ago along with the accumulator.
Ya never know but I'm guessing the problem would be more consistently seen across all gears and acceleration if there was a filter or pump problem, no?
