When you secondary wires are you referring to the other plug wires?

The fat wires that go the plugs as well as the fat coil wire. Primary system is the green wire trigger pulse to CDI and little wires to the coil.
I had the approximate thing happen to mine. I did not have that black shielding cap on the coil. Spark from the center of the coil jumped to the little primary ground stud on the coil. Face plant under acceleration. Mainly in 2nd gear as it's the most fun gear to wind out when putting around. It would have been all gears if I beat on in and I could replicate in my garage blipping the throttle.
