Oil all over engine and pouring out when engine heated up and running.

I just got my 911 sc out of service having the fluids changed. Nothing too involved but the mechanic did clean up the engine and tighten the valve covers as well. Just FYI, the car has Weber carbs. When I got the car back it started and ran fine. About 10 miles down the road as the engine heated up the car began to smoke like crazy from underneath so I pulled over and cut the engine. Oil was pouring onto and past the headers and smoking. When I opened the engine bay it and the engine were covered in oil. I assume wherever the leak is-oil was not just dripping downward---oil had sprayed everywhere like on the carbs, plug wires etc. The car has been towed back to the mechanic but I wanted to see if anyone had any ideas.
