Just wanted to reach out and say thank you to everyone who responded to the numerous threads I started to complete my suspension refresh - you know who you are!

I did all Elephant Racing rubber, a strut brace, torsion bars, ball joints, adjustable spring plates, new axles, new Bilstein struts, and calipers restored to as-new by PMB. I am very happy with the results, the car seems much more planted now and I am a more confident driver as a result.

I kind of have a "trifecta" of improvements at this point which were never done by previous owners - I replaced the trombone cooler with a Carrera cooler and fan last year; motor and tranny mounts the year or so before that, and now the suspension.

For those contemplating such an end-2-end suspension refresh - budget more time than you initially think! And make sure your tool set includes a thread chase kit, it's super important.
