Stalling problem...

My 2001 325i has a stalling problem once the engine is warm; it stalls at takeoff, it almost feels starved for fuel, then starts right back up. This is now happening sometimes 5 times a day, then other days not at all.

Thoughts? Experiences?

Matt, have you solved this problem yet? My '01 325 did this Friday for the first time. On take off from a light, it would just stutter and stall. Of course, the dealer couldn't reproduce and there was no code.

stalling

I had exactly the same problem, the car would drive fine and then stall on deceleration or on acceleration away from lights or a junction. The codes were unreadable on the garage machine and had to be sent off to BMW's main diagnostic machine (who still couldn't read the codes!). Anyway the garage eventually replaced the camshaft sensor and the water pump sensor and all seems to be running fine !

I now have a broken rear hinge window switch - it never ends with this car! Any ideas?

I have the same exact problem but my code (P1397) reads that the exhaust camshaft sensor is faulty, does anybody knows where is it located?
