Flasher Location

I have a 99 323i I cannot seem to find the turn signal flasher unit. I have called around and checked my books with no luck!! Long time Porsche Pelican Newbie for BMW.
Thanks in advance!

It is electronically controlled by the LSZ(light switching center). The front of the LSZ is the little panel you use to turn on the headlights.

Let me guess, your turn signal is flashing rapidly? That is a bad bulb or bad bulb connection.

Thanks! I changed the bulb and checked the connections. The bulb flashes rapidly when I first start the car then it will return to norm. The light out display on the dash comes on then when I turn of the car it resets itself. Last ditch effort figured its the flasher.

Thanks again!!!

Which bulb is flashing rapidly?

It could be bulb going bad. The LSZ is sensitive. So much so that mechanics swear by BMW bulbs. I have had no problems with name brand bulbs.

Another option is a loose connection. Pull all the bulbs on that side of the car and bend the contacts to hit tighter to the bulb. Put a bit of di-electric grease on the contacts if you have it.
