rear rotor removal
I am about to replace the rear rotors and pads on a 2000 328i. I was wondering if the rear axle 30mm nut has to be removed to remove the rotors. I have looked at other threads and they don't mention it, but I just wanted to be sure before I get started so I'll know if I have to go buy a 30mm 12 point socket. Has anyone ever tried rotors that were made in China? Are Zimmerman rotors good for this application.? I have them on my Boxster and am satisfied with them, but just thought I'd see if they have worked well for BMW owners. What about ATE pads? Thanks in advance for advice!

You dont have to remove the hub nut but there is a retaining screw, 6mm-ish hex.
Make sure the e-brake is released and hit the rotor face hard with a dead blow hammer to loosen the rotor. Zimmerman is fine. I''ve never used ATE.
