Aux cooling fan
I'm about to replace another aux fan on my 1999 323i. It's the puller type fan that mounts behind the radiator and the only part that has gone bad on both is the resistor pack. I hate to go with another used one and have the same thing happen, but a new "cooling module" as BMW calls it is too expensive at nearly $1000. There are plenty of places out there that have the later model pusher fan assembly, but no puller fans. Anyone know if it's possible to use the pusher style or if there are any other fan options?

You can use the pusher as long as you have room to install it.

Thanks! Do you know if it uses the same plug or will I need to splice in the one from my old fan?

An aftermarket fan will have to be spliced in with a relay.
