Can anyone give me any solid reasons why I shouldn’t buy the 325 CI?
I’m pretty much set on this model so please don’t try to sell me on the 330. I’m set to the extent that I even have the color, interior and options picked out. I’m just looking for anyone that could convince me out of it. If I could get your solid and honest opinions this may ultimately determine whether I get a new toy or not. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I love BMWs I think theyare the best car on the road today!!! The only problem I've got is the fact that the 3's can touch the 40k+ barrier, and for that kind of dough I'd step up to a 5 series, you just get more car. Other than that no matter which you choose you're still buying us lunch.

Well, I have a 2003 2.5 automatic 325ia I bought in November 2002. I have 6100 miles on it so far and there is not even a hint of problems. I am very much into performance, so I took my car to the local 1/4 mile drag strip. The best it would do in the 1/4 mile was low 16's @ 85 mph. The car felt faster by the seat of my pants when I test drove it at the dealership. But anyway, the car is a pleasure to drive and I have no issues with it. I think you will be buying a great car.
I also own a 2003 3.0 automatic Z4. What a car! Everybody wants to check it out when they see it. Strangers come up to me at the gas station to make small talk, just so they can check it out. I have not took it to the track yet, but I am hoping for at least some times in the 14 second range. Now this car is truly an awsome car to buy. It is only $150 a month more than the 325. |

Inspector,
Thanks for your reply, I’m actually looking for a daily driver that that can get me from point A to point B with style, class and of course a few curves in the road. Horse Power is important but I won’t be dragging this puppy I will leave that to my “super-car”, she does 0-60 in 4.? Besides the way that gas prices are in CA the 325 appeals to me over the 330 (we are up to $2.35 a gallon for the good stuff). Once again thanks for the reply! -Eli General Manager Pelican Parts/ Drivewerks |

Jav,
sadly our beloved Yugo is no longer in production. I really didnt think the Yugo was all that bad anyway. I mean, here's the ultimate king of the beater cars. You could probably pick one up nowadays for next to nothing and then have a lot of fun driving it off curbs, in the dirt, into walls, etc.. Nothing quite like destroying a piece of eastern bloc technology. It would be even cooler if you could get a hold of a Trabant. |

I just bought one of these about 15 min ago, and I think it's great. Seems like a good value and it still has some pretty good pickup. Good luck! Chuck

Chuck,
Thanks for the reply, I’m very happy to hear this, I’m convinced to go with the 5 speed trans and I’d love to have this one in silver with black leather. I’m planning on making the purchase sometime in May, This will give me the time to further evaluate the vehicle but still have myself covered for the summer. Please let me know if anything goes wrong or if you encounter any problems within the next two months. One last thing could you give me a personal evaluation of how the car feels after driving it for at least 30 days. Thanks for your reply! Eli General Manager Pelican Parts/ Drivewerks |

Time to put this thread to bed, I’ve decided to look around again! After much thought and debate with a trusted family member I have decided to keep looking! I will look at all types of vehicles and not limit my self to “The ultimate driving machine”. I will post my findings and or questions once I am close again!
Thank you all for your wonderful wanted and unwanted replies, Eli General Manager Pelican Parts/ Drivewerks |
