3 liter engine ?s

i have posted on the bmwcca forum and sent an email to roundel mag so far no help. i have an 06 325 i wanted an 04 m3 but found this 325 w/ manual and sport package it is newer and i got good financing thru bmw. i was wondering since most bmws 06 and newer have the 3.0, is it the same engine as mine and if so what gives the others more power. can i swap parts from the other cars or am i stuck with aftermarket upgrades. i like the car but the acceleration is lacking and since the 335 there arent many aftermarket options for the 325

The E90 325 is a 3.0 and it is basically the same engine as the 300 but it has a different intake.

To convert it to a 330 you would need a new intake and software at minimum. I'm sure there is much discussion about it, so the info is probably available on the web.

thanks jeron i have tried an internet search, maybe i just dont know where to look. i have also called bimmerworld who actually races the e90 325 and they were not helpful either. your info is a start and i will research those parts. again thanks and if anyone else can give any info or direct me to someone who may know the differences in the engines it would be greatly appreciated
