there is a rattling sound that i hear when the engine is idling. its audible from inside the cabin. when you rev the engine up to 1200 rpm the sound disappears. i am lost as to what this sound can be. it appears to be coming from the rear of the engine given that its audible from inside the cabin at idle. other than that the engine run perfectly okay. my car has 49,000kms on it. its a 2009 bmw e90 320i LCI

Could be an exhaust rattle. Inspect the exhaust system, especially the front pipe and mounts.
