Ongoing n54 problem - no codes

The car is a 2007 e92.
mileage 125K

The problem started after an oil change at the local service (non dealer). Original symptoms were erratic idle (cold start or at operating temp). No vacuum leaks identified.
TMAP sensor replaced as were Vanos solenoids - no difference.

Local dealer could find no problems. Eventually taken to an indy service and they 'reset' what had been done by 'me/owner'. Prior to taking it anywhere all adaptions had been reset by BTech cable and also INPA/MHD. It had no effect.

After service at indy (who didnt bother to drive it), surge still being experienced in 1200-1800 rpm (10-14 percent accelerator and 8" of vacuum light load conditions) when at operating temp. No surge prior to warmup.

Current presumption is front O2 sensors have become fouled or contaminated. And other suggestions?

maybe bad contaminated fuel or water in gas tank... just a thought..
Curious, why replace TMAP and VANCO sensors when there is no code
