I'm running a 1994 540i with some mods, and i was wondering what else i can do to it without switching out the transmission or doing invasive engine work. Right now, the engine and the trannie are both stock and running in perfect condition. Unfortunately, it is an automatic, and i'd like to find out the torque tolerances so i'll know when i'll have to switch out the transmission, but I can't seem to locate that information anywhere. I've installed a comfoti chip, supersprint exhaust, k&n air filter, bbs mag alloy rims, (15") the equivalent of a dinan stage 3 suspension, and fog lights. I haven't put it on a dyna in a while, but by the numbers, it ought to put out about 330-350hp. It certainly feels that way, at the very least.
I'll post a picture of the car as well, if you would care to take a look. ![]() Thanks for any suggestions.
