Reccomended springs E28

What experiance has anyone had with performance springs on a E28 535i. Dinan, Eibach, H&R, etc. Any preferences? The car will be a street car with some sporting drives on weekends. Shocks may be replaced at the same time, so if there are any good packages out there - great.

Jeremy,

Did you ever find out any info on the springs? I am planning on replacing my springs, in the next couple of months, and I've been waiting for someone to respond to your post - But, this board dosen't have too much activity.

My own advice: definately do the shocks & struts at the same time. I did this on my old 320i & the car rode like new (I used all stock).

I'm interested in knowing exactly what the car will "look like" if going with sport springs. I spoke with someone at Pelican & he told me it would have a lowered effect "similar to the Honda's driving around" -- I definately don't want that for my car. I am probably going to go with stock factory springs & HD Bilsetins. This way, I will get the standard ride height but a little stiffer than Boge, which are a little mushy.

Vern, no replys except you. Not a lot of activity at this point. I am thinking Bilstien HD's and Dinan springs. I don't want to kill the ride, and I don't want it to look like a Honda either. The car has 17inch M3 wheels which look very sporty but also elegant at the same time. There is just too much fender clearance, and why not make it handle to back up the look it is developing.

Jeremy,

Go to mye28.org. You will get lots of response there. Use the search function there and you'll find lots of discussions on springs/shocks.
