Question 5 series parts compatability

Hi all,
I have a 1990 520i, Euro spec car. I'd like to know if the 525i US spec cars are basically the same. I know the engine sizes are different along with the speedo cluster (km/h instead of mph). I'm over in Italy but would rather order parts from the US as it's a whole lot cheaper to get them shipped here.

So far I've been having good luck ordering parts for a 1991 525i for my car, that car also has the M50 engine like mine except for the fan and clutch which are the same as an M20 engine. This is our first BMW and we really like the handling and styling of it. Even with a blown shock up front (to be replaced with Bilsteins this week) it still sticks to the road and rides great.

BMW Roundel Where are you?

Trackerrrr, where in Italy are you? I am over here, too. I have a 520i Wagon and I live in Naples, Italy. If you are here as well, I work over at the hobby shop on base.
So where have you been getting parts? I need an AC compressor and Pelican doesn't have it.
Cheers and enjoy Italy.
Josh

BMW Roundel

I work at Aviano AB near Pordenone. I get my parts from Pelican and ************. There is a salvage yard nearby that also has a bunch of BMWs too.
