trans fail safe prog.......
 
Automatic trans indicator lamp comes on...engine running with reduced power, when idling forward and reverse gears engage very hard, car has 140.000 miles , trans fluid never been changed (live time fluid:()
please give me not so bad news.:D:D

.......OOPS problem again..:(:( trans failure light on , parked the car for the night.Next day .....runs fine again:confused::confused:

You have the 5HP19 tranny which has a common failure part.

:confused:reverse gear working fine, only when lite come back..shifts very hard.

If you arent having any symptoms of a reverse drum failure then I would check the fluid level.

If that does not fix it, change the fluid.

Finally you will need to take it to a shop where they will either find an electrical issue or suggest you have the tranny rebuilt.

dealer replaced crankshaft sensor....now drives fine......where is my idea off extended warranty????? should listen my father..:(

I would not have expected those symptoms to be the crankshaft position sensor.

Im glad you got it fixed.

it is strange.....but now drives fine for second day... my guts telling me it is not over yet.......
