abs light on

97 528i....abs light on and tranny not shifting....i tried fixing one of the wheel sensors by splicing the broken wire as i seen in another post....this may be the problem....also how to u reset after fixing.replacement...any help appreciated

drive to BMW and ask for a DIS diagnosis instead of trying to fix by trial and error. Saves money in the end when you know what has to be replaced.

Splicing the wire wont work. Electrical resistance is a big deal on BMW's. Once the wheel sensor is replaced, you'll need to use a reset tool or take it to the dealer.
