Whistling/Air sound in power steering

Car: '00 540i, 6spd

About a week ago I had some leaks in my power steering hoses. Replaced the hoses along with the reservoir, bled it and filled it with Castrol Dexron6.

Once the car is fully warmed up, I get this whistling sound (sounds like air sound escaping, pretty low frequency though). You can hear it inside the car, sounds like it's coming from the steering wheel. This is when you turn the wheel near/before arriving at full lock but not at full (I'm aware of the noise that you get at full lock).

I'm not seeing any leaks, and the fluid is full. I'm at my ends here trying to figure out what is causing this. Saving last resort to take it to the dealer.

Hose part numbers I replaced (purchased from pelicanparts):

32411095514
32411095515
32411097164

Possible faulty hoses? Wild guess, I have no idea...

Any ideas on what is causing this?

Does higher RPM change the sound?

It seems to be slightly more audible when rev'd. I did some searching on bimmerforums and came across a similar situation where they had a whine type noise due to the high pressure line resting against the motor mount. I checked mine, and that wasn't the case either.

Also, the noise is more prominent when turning the wheels to the left.
