Removing M50 lower timing case problems?

1995 BMW E 34 525ia M50 single Vanos:

I have to remove and possibly replace the M50 lower timing cover because the gasket slipped and did not seat properly. (my error)!

Now the timing case might be cracked.

I have ordered a replacement M50 lower timing cover and gaskets, including valve cover and Vanos seal.

Do I need to remove the Vanos unit to gain access to the top three Torx bolts holding the cover on?

My dilemma: After I remove all the 13 bolts including the three Torx on top and the four bottom bolts.

Will the M50 lower timing cover be able to be removed with loosening any other Parts?

If not how do you remove the M50 lower timing cover without loosening the cylinder head bolts(then replacing them?), what else might that entail?

Thanks in advance for your help and consideration.
Regards,
Ron
