Replacing inside door handle- '99 528

Hello,
Great site- just signed up.
The inside door handle in my 528 just broke off the other day. I picked up the replacement assembly and I guess the door panel has to be removed?
The fact that I don't see any fasteners and that an airbag is right there makes me wonder if I should even try this job?
Any advice, suggestions, guidance would be greatly appreciated.
I have a 5spd 528 and I honestly love the car- perfect match of business/performance car.
Thanks again,
Mike

Ther is a small screw right in the middle of the handle, remove that, the handle should then come out with just little help, take note of the way the rods are connected behind it they just pop out of the grommets. remove and replace.
