I buddy of mine just bought a BWM 750, Year model 1990, and with an ALPINA signature.
His question is regarding power eprons, are there any aftermarket, eprons to increase horse power? Thanking you in advance Coupe

If you are reffering to eproms, then yes.
There are a couple of different ones out there. What else would you like to know? |

Hi there thanks for the reply.
Where can he get them from, and what sort of horse power gains can he expect? Thanks again

I reccommend the Dinan chips. They are a little pricey, however they are factory approved by BMW. Pelican can supply you with these chips.
The Dinan chip says it will add around 39hp at 5500RPM.This requires you to run 91+ octane at all times though. What the chip does is essentially advance the timing and re-map the ignition curve. I have a Dinan chip in my 325is, and it really woke the car up a bit. |

Thanks Jared
I shall pass on the info to him. The fuel here is pretty good, no problems there.

I have the Dinan engine and transmission chips in my 850, and there was a noticeable seat-of-the-pants difference.
The other chip that seems to be highly recommended is the Conforti chip. Many other seems to prefer it over the Dinan. |

I would agree that the Confortiuchip is a little better than the Dinan stuff, however, the Dinan stuff is authorized directly by BMW, so I usually reccomend them first.
