				Twisted seat back on E32?

On our 89 750 the right side of the driver's seat suddenly would not move forward; obnly back or none-while the left side moves properly. i doubt if I could fix this myself. Have you had this problem? Any experts in OC or LA in Ca, who could repair this for reasonable cost and without telling you that you need everything brand new?

Have you checked to see if anything is blocking the rails or keeping it from moving forward?

THE SEATBACK IS CONTROLLED BY ONE MOTOR WITH FLEX DRIVE SHAFTS MOVING THE SEAT. THE SHAFTS TEND TO SLIP OUT OF THEIR ENGAGEMENT SOCKEKTS. IT IS EASY TO FIX, BUT IT WILL TAKE TIME. BECAREFUL THE SEAT ARE HEAVY AND YOU MAY HAVE TO LIFT THEM OUT TO FULLY ENGAGE THE SHAFTS.

larry might be right on this. What happens is the cabels have square ends that insert into the motors, they then round out and no more bite. You would have to remove the seats to prperly examine. I know of a few shops in the L.A. area that could help. call me direct I'll fill you in.
