installed chip and got "trans program"readout

Yesterday i installed a chip in my 90 735i's DME. I bought it on ebay from a reputable seller. After starting the car it now reads "trans program" on the readout and only goes in third gear. The manual/auto swith isn't working either. Did I blow some fuse or relay possibly? Any help is appreciated. The transmission functioned flawlessly before the chip install. --Thanks! --Paul.

Update: Bad chip. Re-installed original and everything works again. Seller will replace or refund. I guess that the old adage "If something seems too good to be true, it probably is." fits here. Ebay isn't always a "good deal", but I have got a lot of them there. --Paul.
