My shifter is stuck...
Long story short, I pulled my console out a couple of days ago and was pulling the shifter around while doing it, and when I finally got the console out the right way, the shifter is jammed up now.
I have a 1980 635csi Euro with the dogleg trans. I seems to be stuck in the forward left gear, which I'm not familiar with yet, as I just acquired the car. I tried rocking the car while wiggling the shifter, but it didn't help. What can I do? Thanks, Cale |

And you cant pull it down?
I would check all the linkage to make sure that nothing is caught in there, preventing it from moving. |

I got under the car and there is nothing touching the linkage that looks out of place... I can't figure it out....

They don't appear to be...I had rowed through the gears several times before that to see what it felt like. I did find out though that the previous own had installed a short throw shifter, if that makes a difference.
