1988/89 E32 730i STARTED BUT TICKOVER WRONG!

Hi,

Just to let you know my E32 730i has now started, however the tickover is all wrong, it starts ticking over at 1100rpm the rises to 1400rpm then drops back to 1100rpm.

any ideas whats wrong?

The saga continues (E32 1988 tickover)

Hi,

Further to my earlier post, I believe the AFM unit is at fault.
go to this site and listen for yourself. If you think the same does anyone know how the AFM unit is removed.
