Question Source For 740i ATF Fluid

Besides the dealer, where can I purchase the "lifetime" Automatic transmission fluid used in the 740 A5S 560Z transmission? The specs say it is:

Shell LA 2634
ESSO LT 71141
Texaco ETL 7045 (or)
ETL 8072B

Amsoil says their Universal synthetic ATF will work in this transmission, but the actual specs don't mention the BMW tranny. Anyone used their product with satisfactory results?

Thanks,

Pat

EUROWEB.com sells it and it is pricey. This company is located in Sarasota, FL. I would guess most online BMW suppliers carry the fluid.

Thanks for the quick response Bear. I tried going to www.euroweb.com but got to a european multi-business site, rather than a company in Sarasota.

I've checked a number of BMW parts supplier sites but the only place I've found anything that says it's for the 740i tranny is the Amsoil product at www.thebestoil.com. It's priced at ~$8.00, which is considerably less than what the BMW price is. Again, although the product search engine says its product is applicable for the 740i, the specs that then come up with the recommended ATF don't mention BMW. So, the price and the non-mention of BMW in the specs has me leery of this product.

Do you have a web site address or phone # for euroweb.com?

Thanks,

Pat

Sorry eurowebparts.com

I have purchased parts (a LAD strut ) form these folks and their price was good. I feel they are a storefront with a warehouse somewhere, but they are just down the road so check them out.
