After replacing battery, car won't start
Hi,
Hadn't started 1998 e38 740series for several months. Battery was dead. Replaced the battery. Turn the key in ignition, panel comes on, lights work, but the engine won't turn over. I don't even hear a clicking noise, nothing. Does anyone have any ideas. Car was working fine until battery went dead. Thanks, Pat |
Check your fuses. German cars don't like to sit :(

same thing my e38 750 did
|
Starter may be stuck??? Also may be hydro-locked...may want to remove spark plugs & spin thru by hand

I charge my battery and now it is a clicking sound and would not turn over. does the 740 back off oil filter bolts
|
NO but have seen a few that the injectors leak after sitting for awhile-->Ur battery might just be so dead that it wont charge~~>replace battery
|
yep cowboy and you were right..... now I have a puddle of oil on the ground and a loud knock coming from the oil pan area. Anyone has a 750il motor ?
