Strange noise when driving - Sometimes
I have a 1992 BMW 850i. I get a strange noise from the right side after I have come to a stop and take off again - Sometimes. I say that because it's not constant. It kind of sounds like wick-wick-wick. Sounds funny I know. It's speed related, as I speed up the sound increases in tempo, but not volume. It just speeds up. After about a 1/10 of a mile it goes away. It seems to be coming from the right side, either the front or back, it's hard to say. You can't hear it from outside at all, just inside. I have checked the calipers and pads, they look good. It almost sounds like a stuck pad/caliper. Like it's not retracting properly, and just makes a noise until it gets forced back.
Any suggestions?

a stuck caliper you can easily find out, the temperature of the hub is higher on that wheel.

Have you pulled the brake disc and inspected the parking brake asm. Sometimes when pulling off an old disc it can put things out of sorts without knowing. The parking shoes are held in with spring loaded pins. Make sure they are set properly.
