Check owners manual
I am trying to help a friend here is the problem
The car is a 1992 735i with a automatic trans , , the car will not shift to 2nd gear until it reaches 4500- 5000 rpm after that it shifts normally it seems until the car is stopped then the same problem arises . I checked the fluid, it is over full but does not smell burnt and still has its red color. There also seems to be a check owners manual light on and she doesn't seem to remember when the light came on so I don't know if the light has anything to do with the trans problem or not .
