E32 735iA camshaft removal ???
Hi !!!
On my 735ia E32, my camshaft isn't in good health ... should I change it ? Does camshaft will broke soon ? ![]() I bought a new camshaft, and 12 new rocker arms. Is it hard to do it ? Does someone have informations ? pictures ? I think I will have to remove head gasket to change these parts seriously ... does someone already did it ? Thanks for answers. |

I doubt it will snap in half if that's what you mean. That picture really doesnt help me in seeing whats wrong with the cam. It's too dark and out of focus.
Changing the camshaft requires removal and complete dis-assembly of the cylinder head. You also need to have a valve job done at the same time. You can change the cam yourself, you'll need to have a machine shop do the valve job. However, the machine shop will install the cam and rockers at the same time.
