needing any good advise

Hi there,
I'm an aussie girl who own a 735iL black 1988 Beemer, my dad used to do all the repairs and maintenince for her but because he isnt in the picture any more. Its up to me. He used to order from pelican parts and get shipped over to australia since was heaps cheaper than going to the car dealers.

My problem is I cant find a service manual for the year and series anywhere and the cd disc I have isnt working in my computer. My car has just started coming up with brake lining on the dash. Then a short time after that came up with brake light circuit.

Have checked my brake lights which are working, even got them out and cleaned. My brake fliud is fine. I'm guessing maybe the discs are warn and may need replacing. Just want to be sure since I dont want to take to mechenic and for them to say yes just for an easy buck. The exhuast has been replaced, as well as the fuel line and water pump. New tires are on her, Soon she will be all brand new lol.

Anyadvise on this matter or any other matter will be greatly taken in. Thanks again for reading Tracey and Blackie.

The brake lining lights come on when the brake pads have worn down enough to break the trigger inside the sensor. Typically, this means you have a short amount of time left before the pads are fully worn down and you start grinding the rotors.

Changing the brakes isn't that difficult, but there are a few steps you need to know.

read these. The brakes on your car are virtually the same.
