On Board Computer
I have a 1987 535I. I recently purchased and replaced the SI Board. When I completed the install, the on board computer display went dim. It still functions, but you can hardly see the display. Is there an adjustment for the display or does this also need replaced??????

It sounds like you may need to replace the small light bulb that illuminates the display. It's a back light type of assembly, I know tere is a tech article on the web somewhere of how to do it. I think it involves resoldering a new bulb in there. Shouldnt be too hard if you are handy with electronics. I would go to Google and enter in BMW OBC light replacement.
