Rough Acceleration

I have a 93 740i, when I accelerate the whole car vibrates for a bit before it smooths out. If I back off the accelerator and then re-accelerate the issue is almost not there. I was told it was the O2 sensors so I had them replaced. It is somewhat better but still there. What other areas should I be checking to resolve this issue? Also, even with the rough acceleration there is very little if any affect on the fuel economy. Thank you in advance.
