BMW Roundel 733i onboard computer

Hi everybody! I've got a 1984 733i, and the onboard computer doesn't work. I've checked the fuses, but their good. Any help? Also, thanks for the advice on my last problem KC, worked like a charm!

It's not working as in the display is out or faded? or just nothing? If display is faded or out try removeing it and replace the bulbs through the back of it. If it's giving incorrect info might be time for a new one, unless any one out ther knows how to rebuild the inners on these things.

yeah, I've got absolutly nothing comming up on the display. I don't really need it, but it would be cool if it worked. Thanks Javier. Peace.

There is an internal fuse

There is an internal fuse, usually gets popped if cables connected backwards during a jumpstart.

The most likely failure is the display lamp. Its a $10 part, with $300 worth of labor. If you can replace it yourself its $10. No big deal, just lots of stuff to remove to get at the light.

to test check the display in the sunlight. Push some buttons. If you can see something in the reflection of the sunlight the computer is good, just the display lampl
