stand alone ignition

Hi, I have a M10B18 motor I want to run independent ignition on (I have a 292 cam but my dizzy turns the wrong way) but when it comes to electrics I ain't got a clue! Does anyone have any ideas? Ideally, I would like to bypass the dizzy completely as I battle to set the timing due to the bike carbs on the car, and it won't get any smoother with the cam in place either!
